Healthy eating habits begin when your child is young. At Kool Kidz, we focus on meeting your child’s nutritional needs with our carefully planned, usually 4-week rotating seasonal menu. This menu includes breakfast, morning tea, a delicious two-course lunch, afternoon tea, and a late snack, ensuring at least 50% of the recommended daily dietary intake, aligning with Australian Dietary Guidelines.

 

Our diverse range of meals is displayed near the kitchen and on the Kool Konnect app for your convenience and feedback. The menu undergoes regular reviews, considering input from children, educators, and families to keep it engaging and nutritious.

We adhere to a comprehensive nutrition policy known as the Kool Kidz Healthy Eating Policy, based on the latest ‘Dietary Guidelines for Children and Adolescents in Australia.’ Our scheduled meal times are flexible and may vary from room to room, catering to the unique needs of each child. Extra food is readily available at meal and snack times to meet the hunger needs of your little ones. Each room has a snack box accessible by educators to provide food whenever children are hungry.

Kool Kidz provides a healthy and varied diet including the five main food groups every day. We encourage children to eat a wide variety of nutritious foods and experience foods from many cultures. Our cook creates meals fresh on site that support children in developing a taste for a healthy diet.

Our educators ensure that food routines are positive and relaxed, spending time sitting with, talking to, and supporting children as they engage in their meals. We also understand the importance of hydration and encourage children to drink plenty of water throughout the day!
