A day in the life
Our structured yet flexible timetable balances learning, play, and rest for your infant’s holistic development and well-being. We understand that every family has their own schedule, and update you throughout the day on our Kool Konnect app.
The day starts with a warm welcome as we help you transition your infant to our care during drop-off and discuss important updates or news.
Your little one receives a nutritious, age-appropriate meal.
We engage in open play-based learning with our Kool Beginnings curriculum.
Depending on your infant’s schedule, we take a break for a healthy feed or bottle.
Your infant can sleep soundly in our separate cot room.
A yummy bottle or a delicious and nutritious meal, carefully prepared by our in-house chef, is served. This can be purees if your child is getting used to solids.
Rest time is encouraged for those who need it. Children can have a nap on their own sleep mat with linen provided and laundered by Kool Kidz. Meanwhile, activities for non-nappers continue!

Open play-based learning fosters creativity and exploration even at the youngest age.
At the end of the day, we take time to talk about your child's day so you can stay informed and connected.
Our hours
Kool Kidz provides care from Monday to Friday, starting bright and early at 6:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. (Kool Kidz Preston opens at 7:00 a.m.). Kool Kidz is only closed on Victorian public holidays. We’re here to provide regular care for your child on weekdays throughout the year, except for these dates.
Our Curriculum
From six weeks to six years, Kool Beginnings Curriculum (KBC) is our comprehensive curriculum. Built to compliment the Australian Early Years Learning Framework, we aim to ensure that all children, families, educators, and visitors feel a sense of belonging, safety, and security to be who they are and supported to become all they can be.
The Curriculum fosters early sensory exploration, motor skill development, and social-emotional growth for infants and toddlers through sensory play, tummy time, and interactive games.
Safety & security
Safety is our top priority. All our centres use the latest fingerprint / facial recognition or security key tag access technology.
All our toys, floor coverings, mats, bed linens, cots, and other equipment are rated safe and adhere to our stringent hygiene practices as well as Australian Safety Standards.
Educators and management staff are trained and certified in Early Education and first aid.
We also ensure that all outdoor play is sun-safe.
